MaidCRM Cleaner App Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 6, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how SerpInsider, the operator of MaidCRM and its affiliated residential cleaning brands (the "Operator", "we", "us", or "our"), collects and uses information through the MaidCRM Cleaner mobile application (the "App"). The App is for independent cleaning contractors who work with the Operator's brands. It is not a public consumer app.

Our general MaidCRM privacy policy is at maidcrm.com/privacy. This page covers the App specifically.

1. Information we collect

  • Phone number. Used to sign in with a one-time SMS code. We store your phone number on your cleaner profile.
  • Name and contact details. First name, last name, email, and service areas from your cleaner onboarding record.
  • Job and schedule data. Open jobs in your area, jobs assigned to you, addresses (for assigned jobs), service type, timing, pay estimates, and job notes needed to perform work.
  • Earnings data. Unpaid job totals, year-to-date payouts, and payout history shown in the App.
  • Push notification token. If you allow notifications, we store a device token to send alerts about new open jobs in your area. You can turn job alerts off in Profile.
  • Application data. If you apply through the App, we collect the information you submit (name, contact, service zips, experience, signature) for onboarding review.

2. How we use information

We use App data only to:

  • Authenticate you and keep your session secure.
  • Show open jobs, your schedule, and earnings.
  • Let you apply for open jobs and receive assignment updates.
  • Send push notifications you opt into about new jobs.
  • Operate payouts and contractor onboarding.

We do not sell App data or use it for advertising.

3. SMS

Sign-in codes are sent by SMS through our messaging provider. Message and data rates may apply. We send authentication codes only when you request sign-in, not marketing texts through the App login flow.

4. Push notifications

The App may ask for permission to send push notifications. If granted, we use your device token to notify you about new open jobs matching your service areas. You can disable new job alerts in the App Profile screen without uninstalling.

5. Third-party services

The App communicates with MaidCRM backend services hosted on Vercel and uses:

  • SMS provider (OpenPhone) for one-time sign-in codes.
  • Apple Push Notification service (APNs) on iOS and Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android for push delivery, when enabled.
  • Expo for app updates and push token handling in development and production builds.

6. Data retention and security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and stored in our secured database. We retain cleaner and job data as long as needed for scheduling, payouts, and legal obligations. Sign-in tokens on your device are stored in the platform secure store.

7. Your choices

  • Log out of the App to clear the local session.
  • Turn off new job push alerts in Profile.
  • Deny notification permission; the App still works without push.
  • Contact us to update or delete your cleaner profile data, subject to payout and tax record requirements.

8. Children

The App is for working cleaners only and is not directed to children under 13.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
